Lesson 50 of 55
15 mins readPython Ambient Declarations and .d.ts Files
In Plain English
Declaration files (.d.ts) contain only type metadata with no executable JavaScript. The declare keyword describes values, functions, or modules that exist at runtime.
Core Rules to Remember

.d.ts Files: Contains type declarations without implementation, used for external libraries and globals.

declare Keyword: Informs TypeScript that a symbol exists in the runtime environment.
