Lesson 44 of 55
9 mins readPython Asynchronous Tasks & Channels (Coroutines)
In Plain English
Julia tasks (coroutines) provide lightweight cooperative multitasking for asynchronous I/O and producer-consumer architectures via Channels.
Deep Dive: How It Works
Tasks (@async): Lightweight coroutines scheduled cooperatively on the event loop.
@sync: Blocks until all enclosing @async tasks have finished.
Channels (Channel{T}): Thread-safe FIFO queues for transferring data between producer and consumer tasks using put!(c, val) and take!(c).
Core Rules to Remember

@async and @sync: Coordinate multiple concurrent tasks cleanly.

Channel{T} Communication: Safe stream queues for producer-consumer pipelines.

How it works: The producer task yields values into the channel; the consumer reads until the channel closes.
