In Plain English
CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network) is Perl vast library ecosystem. Use the standard core module `JSON::PP` to serialize and deserialize data structures.
Deep Dive: How It Works
CPAN: Over 200,000 open-source modules installed via `cpanm Module::Name`.
JSON::PP (Core): Standard JSON module included with modern Perl installations.
encode_json($ref): Converts a Perl data reference into a UTF-8 JSON string.
decode_json($str): Parses a JSON string back into Perl nested hash/array references.
Core Rules to Remember

encode_json and decode_json: Seamless bidirectional serialization between Perl data structures and JSON.

Core Module: `JSON::PP` is available out-of-the-box on standard Perl environments.

How it works: JSON::PP seamlessly serialized the hash ref and parsed it back into memory.
Your Turn: Micro Challenge
No pressure! Edit the starter code below and test your solution with instant feedback.
Micro Exercise
Parse JSON String and Query Field
Use `use JSON::PP;`
Decode `my $raw = '{"role":"Admin","active":true}';` using `decode_json($raw)`.
Print `"Role: " . $data->{role} . "\n"`.
